1. Indian National holding a valid Indian passport can apply for Iran Visa.
2. Person wishes to travel to Iran for the purpose of Tourism/Family or friends Visit/Business can apply visa through Visa Lounge. Person who seeks employment in Iran is not eligible to apply through Visa Lounge.
3. Travel insurance is mandatory requirement for passengers traveling to Iran. Visa Lounge also provides Travel Insurance to passengers at an additional cost.
Tourist :
1. Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp. Attach all your old passports (if any)
2. Iran Visa Application Form: One visa application Form No 37.1 to be duly typed and signed by the applicant & one visa application Form 37.2 to be duly filled (hand written) and signed by the applicant.
3. Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, with white background. Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old,scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas
4. Covering Letter : Covering Letter from applicant stating his name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit duly signed by authorized signatory and addressed to – Consulate General of Iran, Mumbai
5. Invitation Letter: An invitation E-Grant Notice letter
6. Ticket : Ticket copy
7. Medical: Original Medical test for HIV , HEP B & C, T.B, has to be taken from an approved pathology lab.
Please Note: Foreign nationals travelling to the Islamic Republic of Iran are required to purchase Health and Accident Insurance for their period of stay
8. Please Note: Medical certificates for travel to Iran can be issued from any reputed doctor in India, preferably from a well-known hospital. The certificate must clearly mention the contact details of the hospital/doctor, as the Embassy can call and verify the certificate.

Health regulation for passengers leaving India:-
There is no health check requirement by Indian Government on passengers leaving India. However, persons leaving for a yellow fever infected area are advised in their own interest to get themselves vaccinated and to be possession of valid yellow fever vaccination certificates before they leave the country.
